College Life

Who are you? What is your personality? Whether spunky and eclectic or introverted and artistic, you’ll want to personalize your dorm room to fit you. Let’s face it, if you’re traveling 1,000 miles across the country to go to your chosen college, you’ll want it to feel homey, so personalize it!

For my room, I chose the comfy, cozy chic vibe. Anyone who knows me could tell you that my all-time favorite accent color is metallic GOLD! I love, love, loveee it! So obviously, there are accents throughout my room in that color. For the cozy vibe I chose a sage green bedspread with cream faux fur throw blankets and a few accent pillows. To give the room some chicness, I chose coral sheets and a coral pillow to add a splash of color. Lastly, to pull whole room together, to get the ultimate cozy and chic vibe, I got globe string lights! Honestly, string lights are a necessity, not only does it make your room look amazing, but college ceiling lights are obnoxiously bright, leading to headaches. As if my point wasn’t strong enough, let me repeat, get the string lights.

My most FAVORITE decoration I purchased was my gold wall tapestry! Totally fits in with the theme, and brightens the dull, boring, white wall room. Also, I don’t know if it’s just me but, when I first enter a room, the first thing to catch my eye is the floor. Thankfully, if our floor is the first thing people notice, they’ll see a ivory cream colored, fuzzy faux fur rug. Small, but again a cozy vibe. Love the way everything came together, plus, we now host “study” parties in style!
P.S. I apologize for my not so clean rug... that's embarrassing.
